Last Day as a Stay at Home Mom

I am officially returning to the working world tomorrow. I want to say to any mom who is toying with idea to stay home with a drooling short person it is totally worth it. Not just for your kid, but for you. These two years have taught me so much about myself. I have spent my whole life achieving, and for two years I got to stop all that and just spend it living. I like the person I have become much more than the rat racer I was before. There are many, many mushy Hallmark things I could say about this experience, but I won't. It was the best thing I have ever done for myself and for my family. I am happy to pass the torch to Wes, and I hope he experiences the same joys I have. Thanks Brady for teaching me who I am.

I am sad for you. But, you just need to remember that you have been an awesome Mom, and that next week you will still be an awesome Mom. You are doing what is best for your family. That is a huge sacrifice and I am proud of you.

On another note, remember that there are a lot of things your new "kids" will already know. Such as; how to blow their nose, tie there shoes, go to the bathroom by themselves, what a change that will be. I also think that you will go home and appreciate your precious little boy even more.

Before you head off to work in the morning, make sure to get Brady all wound up for his Daddy :)

Best wishes on reentering the workplace.

Keep in mind how you feel about the "rat race" right now, at this moment. Cherish that memory and make sure you never feel as though you are running that race again!

And have some fun! Hopefully your new job (old job?) will be a new, exciting change for you.

Rayven,
Oh, that rat racer in me is already dying to get out. However, the mommy in me is standing on her head. There is nothing like the thought of your baby to make you run home for a quick lunch and leave work just a little early.
